Working on Yudith and Gregory’s wedding was a fun challenge.

Our mission was to blend the long-standing customs that come with an Ethiopian bride with the vibrancy of a New Orleans groom.

The custom wedding invitations were written in English and Amharic, the reception music featured Ethiopian, R&B and Zydeco tunes, and the food featured popular Ethiopian dishes and Cajun hors d’ oeuvres. They topped off the evening by giving their guests little blue boxes filled with both Pralines and Ethiopian cookies.

Their ceremony took place at the St. George Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church in Washington, DC, and their reception took place at the Hilton Gaithersburg.
