A Shortbread Cookie Recipe in Honor of Fat Daddy
When I was a little girl, I had the Winnie the Pooh Cookbook.
I didn’t use it often, but my mom always allowed me to use it to bake butter cookies for Fat Daddy’s birthday.
As usual, I was determined to make them without my mother’s assistance. I wish she would have made her assistince mandatory because my measuring skills were not up to par. As a result, the cookies tasted horrible.
I could never tell that the cookies were so bad because Fat Daddy cheerfully ate those cookies every year. It wasn’t until I was in my 30s that he admitted how much he hated those butter cookies!
So, in honor of Father’s Day, I am sharing a butter cookie recipe I found on JoyOfBaking.com
I think I will make these for Fat Daddy! I’m sure they won’t be as horrible as my 9-year-old attempts.
Enjoy!
Happy Father’s Day!
Love and Soul Always, Kay
