A while ago, one of our couples asked us to create a simple, casual and rustic table for their intimate wedding reception.  They wanted their wedding design to showcase a taste of their Scottish heritage, but they wanted their wedding day focus to be family, friends and love. (My kind of wedding day!)

The wedding ceremony and reception took place at the Brookeville Academy located in Brookeville, Maryland (near Olney).  The gorgeous tables and chairs were provided by Vintage Affairs and the wedding day flora was created by the talented ladies at My Flower Box Events.  The menu cards were created by LePenn Designs.

Seeing the couple’s friends and family members actively participate in their wedding ceremony literally brought tears to my eyes.  I knew it may evoke the same emotion for their wedding guests, so we made sure there were plenty of antique hankies available.

As you can see, tears weren’t the only emotion felt on our couple’s wedding day!  There was plenty of happy smiles and laughter too!

I was so happy to see that the bride had an opportunity to enjoy their dinner, laugh a lot, cry a little, and catch up with family and friends.

After dinner, a few of the wedding guests enjoyed a good cigar and a great conversation.  It was obvious that old friends were catching up.

Thank you for enjoying our couple’s wedding day!  Have an amazing Sunday!
