She was captivated by his smile, and she stopped his swipe with her confidence (and, according to her now husband, the lovely curves) that she conveyed in her profile. Once the two met in person, their chemistry was undeniable and the rest, as they say, was history.

When the pandemic postponed their original plans to get married in September 2020, Angela and Lorenzo honored their date with a micro wedding ceremony on the National Mall in Washington, DC, and then hosted 350 of their favorite people for the event they’d always envisioned on their one-year anniversary.

Setting the tone for a glamorous celebration with a personalized, glossy magazine-style invitation, this couple’s wedding and reception was the epitome of love meets luxury, and wowed guests at every turn with stunning sophistication. There was Angela’s breathtaking ceremony entrance in a look inspired by style icon Carrie Bradshaw. Lush floral installations in blush and ivory bathed in candlelight. Their surprise change into gorgeous, traditional Nigerian attire to honor the bride’s heritage.

This was indeed an unforgettable time for a timeless couple.

Proof that sparks can fly in dating apps too, Angela and Lorenzo’s love story started online.
