Last month, I posted how my team and I took the inspiration from a scene in Lord of the Rings and created a wedding design.  Today, I would like to give a little wedding day love for the couple behind the fun inspiration – Jennifer and Jason.

Their color palette of pale yellow, chocolate brown and sage green allowed us to provide a traditional wedding design with a lot of natural (yet very romantic) touches.

We helped this sweet, sweet bride and groom plan their wedding for almost a year.  I truly loved how their entire family (even their extended family members) were involved with the wedding planning, yet everyone was mindful of everyone’s desires, feelings and wishes.  By the time Jennifer walked down the aisle, I felt like I was truly a member of this incredible family.

Oh, and I must mention that Jen’s mom (Mrs. Harris) can burn! Whew!  I bet they thought it was a coincidence that I kept asking to schedule wedding planning meetings at dinner time.

The ceremony was held at the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and the reception venue was the Old Hickory Golf Club in Woodbridge, Virginia.  Studio Marais captured their wedding in pictures.

Jennifer had the prettiest smile.

Jennifer allowed her bridal party to pick their own dresses as long as the color and the material matched.  As life would have it, most of them selected a similar style dress!

I is for Ireland

Instead of table numbers, each table was a different letter in the alphabet, and that letter represented something about Jason and Jennifer.

I loved the chocolate and pale yellow palette in their bouquets.  My design partner for this wedding, Creative Edge Floral Design, created all of the bouquets too.

Wedding Cake Their beautiful wedding cake was created by Amphora.

Guest Book Quilt

Wedding guests left their well wishes on a quilt made by a close family friend.
