While I love so many of the latest wedding trends in place right now, I have a special place in my heart for traditional Washington, DC weddings.  Sarah and Aaron’s wedding was a perfect example of a traditional DC wedding too!

Sarah’s bouquet was created by Petal’s Edge Floral Design, and as I have said before, the ladies at Petal’s Edge really know how to create a wedding bouquet!

The couple’s wedding ceremony took place at the beautiful Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle, located in downtown Washington, DC.

Aaron’s wedding attendants includes two of his female friends — Side Note:  I am still coveting their pink shoes.  They were hot!

When the wedding guests arrived at the Whittemore House, they were greeted by a fun MadLibs game created just for Aaron and Sarah’s wedding.  The wedding reception featured pictures of the couple with numerous wedding guests.  I thought that was a fantastic touch!

The reception meal was catered by Spilled Milk Catering, and of course the food was creative and incredibly yummy!  In fact, the bride is not a fan of wedding cake, so the couple served an ice cream bar instead!
